Day 26: Character you most like to see return

I'm assuming they mean a character that had died.  I think that would be Charlie.  It was sad to see her killed off and she was like a sister to the brothers.  I do miss her.

Me too! She's her own kind of awesome, with a nice dash of crazy, and all her interaction with Dean in the whole "LARP and the Real Girl" episode is one of my favorite things about Season 8.

Too bad that they always kill off the awesome girls!

Hell yes, Charlie!!!

I could be cerebral and say Bobby, but we got to see loads of Bobby. He had six glorious seasons.

Charlie was there too short, too little and killed for no reason but to pull on our heartstrings. I felt that was a gratuitous killing by the writers, and didn't 'serve the story', if you'll forgive me quoting the horrible line they claimed was the reason to kill her off.

There are many political and emotional reasons why she should be part of the show in perpetuity like Donna and Jody and Claire. But no, they didn't. I am not over it, and never will be. My sister refuses to even watch the episode where Charlie gets killed, as the Charlie episodes were what I lured her into watching SPN with in the first place.

Love love love Charlie. Will never forget her. If they should resurrect anyone, it should be her.

Apart from her, I'd like to see Chuck again. I wouldn't be surprised if he's part of the final season, may that be many years in the future.

Yeah, Charlie was great. And her death didn't mean much, because killing off friends (especially female friends) of the brothers to demonstrate how serious the situation had happened so many times from S1 onward that it stopped meaning anything.

I remember hearing that the S9 episode Bloodlines was supposed to be a sneak pilot for a spin-off, but it was highly unpopular, so they didn't go there. Of course, no one knew the characters and they didn't have much connection with Sam and Dean (who were barely in the episode, and could have easily been removed and replaced by original characters with no change). That made me think: The TV shows I know that had spin-offs (Angel the Series from Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Torchwood from Doctor Who, The Originals from the Vampire Diaries), the protagonist(s) of the spin-off had been on the original show for at least a few episodes, and were established, and very important to the lead(s) of the original show. And that makes me think...if they really wanted to do a spin-off of SPN, wouldn't Charlie have been perfect?
