As for Tumblr and negativity, honey the curse of having a small amount of space to post/type, and the all mouth no trousers syndrome that comes with being on the internet, they take their toll. People forget that the negativity spreads.
My advice, ignore it, the more traction the crappy gets the more it spreads and the worse it becomes.
