The NOTE! The folded up piece of paper asking silly questions like "Do you like me?" or "Would you go out with me?". The typical silly teenage line of communication...the note. Well my 14yr old boy got his first note handed to him today and he is beside himself. The note says "Will you to the prom with [girl name]?" The boy is freaking out. He has ADHD and a mild autism so communication for the boy sucks. He doesn't know what to do. He brought the note home and gave it to me saying "I don't know what to do about this?" He is afraid that it's some joke but he's not sure. He concludes this because he's been teased before by other people...though not by this person. He said he'd go if he knew she was serious but since he's scared to talk to her he'd never know. So I wrote on this note saying basically he is only interested if she was really asking a serious questions but no if it was a joke. I rather him talk to her directly but seeing that he's too scared he may have to use the same line of communication...the note. I do know that if this turns out to be a joke than quite possible they will have a very angry mother...me. Beware the wrath of this mother!! Poor kid but if it was sincere, this would be a really good thing for him.
